Our friend and great leader Mr. Topong Kulkhanchit passed away on June 7, 2007.

Topong had gained much respect through his passion and desire in championing the cause for the people with disabilities in many parts of the world. With his strong belief and will-power, he had demonstrated the spirit of gnothing is impossibleh. He was not afraid to meet tough challenges, ever willing to speak up on behalf of people with disabilities. Topong has brought about unprecedented success in the last 20 years of disabled persons' movements in Asia-Pacific region

His passion for the people with disabilities have inspired and touched the lives of many people. We have lost a strong and tireless advocate who championed for equality and full participation of the people with disabilities, a good colleague, mentor and friend. We will remember him always.

With his passing, it leaves us to learn yet another lesson ? that we cannot take things (or life) for granted. Life can be so vulnerable and unpredictable and we need to live life to the fullest.

We would like to convey our deepest condolences to his beloved wife, Ying and his family.

Topong, thank you for being a wonderful friend. We will all miss you and cherish your memory. May you rest in peace.

regards
Judy Wee
